I first came to the Good News Rescue Mission in 2005. With nowhere else to go, I sat in Chapel like everyone else. I don’t remember the minister that night, but when he asked if anyone wanted to accept Jesus into their life, I thought of friends who had, and how their lives had changed for the better. To all the people who support the mission, I would like to say thank you for giving to the Lord, because I am a life that has been changed. I celebrated 7 years clean in January, but I come from a long line of alcohol and drug addiction. When I was facing a 3 year jail sentence, the Judge opted to send me to the GNRM for a residential recovery program. I am married with two wonderful children, and working with those suffering from drug addictions and mental illness.     - Micoa Furr
