Douglas Wright

I first came to the Good News Rescue Mission in 2005. With nowhere else to go, I sat in Chapel like everyone else. I don’t remember the minister that night, but when he asked if anyone wanted to accept Jesus into their life, I thought of friends who had, and how their lives had changed for the better. So I raised my arm and from that moment my life has not been the same.  -Douglas Wright

To all the people who support the mission, I would like to say thank you for giving to the Lord, because I am a life that has been changed. I celebrated 7 years clean in January, but I come from a long line of alcohol and drug addiction. When I was facing a 3 year jail sentence, the Judge opted to send me to the GNRM for a residential recovery program. I am married with two wonderful children, and working with those suffering from drug addictions and mental illness.     - Micoa Furr

Heather Hale

I had been told about this place by people who wanted to help me in the past and it was the
last place that I wanted to go. But I had nowhere else to turn. Coming to the Mission was
one of the hardest things for my pride to take. It turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me.  - Heather Hale
