The Learning Center at the Good News Rescue Mission is run completely by volunteers. The Learning Center Director, Mrs. Lynn Swanson, is also a volunteer.
Interested in Volunteering in the Learning Center at the Good News Rescue Mission? We Can Use You!! Lynn Swanson is in need of volunteers to assist her in providing education services to the Mission’s residents.
- Joint men’s and women’s classes meet Mondays from 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. and Wednesdays 7:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m.
- Women’s classes meet Monday from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. & Wednesday 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
- Men’s classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. & Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
People interested in volunteering in the Learning Center may want to consider a 2 hour commitment. Mrs. Swanson is more than willing to work with you and your schedule. Mrs. Swanson greatly appreciates any time a person has time to assist her students. As of now the greatest need for volunteers is on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for the men’s class.

You can also obtain one from the Good News Rescue Mission’s Administration office by calling or visiting during business hours which are M-F between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Once we receive your completed Volunteer Interest Survey, with a copy of your resume, your information will be reviewed and you will be contacted within 2 business weeks.
