Holidays & Wet Weather

The Holidays are upon us and recent storms have hit hard possibly indicating a very wet winter lies ahead.  We serve 3 hot meals a day and provide sack lunches to guests who are out working or looking for work and can't be here for lunch.  Cold and wet weather means we'll be serving more hot meals and providing shelter to even more people in need.  Now more than ever, we can use your donations of non-perishable food items and frozen foods as well.  God bless you and be on the lookout for one of the many "Indie Drives" in our community during the Holiday season - a food drive hosted by a local group or business.

Barry, It is such a wonderful gift to have you on staff and to be working side by side with you in this ministry, you bring so much professionalism to your department and blessings to all that come in contact with you, keep up the faith and know that God will always honor you for what you do for Him.........

Barry,

Thank you for your dedication to feeding the people in need. You have the ability to run a kitchen like a first-class business. Seeing you encourage the people you serve as well as your staff is truly a blessing.

Your website is a broken pile of well-meaning crap, just like the mission itself. When you're ready for a web developer that fills in the blanks and doesn't use templates come find me.
Also, thanks for the free food that one time.

Keep providing such a wonderful service to our community. Can people donate fresh produce from their gardens to the mission? We have more than we need. Please get back to me.
God Bless.

Need to here about the love of Christ Jesus
But to show the love of Jesus to all who walk in to the Mission
I pray that it just not a plate of food but a plate of Jesus

I have six boxes of baby cereal that is un-opened and still sealed in plastic and was wondering if there was a need for it there. If so where do I take it to donate? Thank you.

My wife and I are currently guests at the mission.
If not for the mission we would be on the street.
We needed a place from which to start our life anew.
The mission and it's staff have assisted us in many
ways and we are grateful for the mission and the Christian based program they provide. We are confidant that soon we
will be self supportive and back on track with our
future, I hope to add that happy ending soon! God Bless the
Good News Rescue Mission!

If you cant do a really oetplicamcd one like a very cool House M.D. one or Che Guevara, which, for most people, is absolutely impossible, it's fine to do an easy one- but be original!!!! try not to just do the three triangles and toothed mouth. maybe make an silly one. but yeah, there aren't really any negative connotations with people who don't do great, oetplicamcd pumpkins.EDIT: To make your house more festive, try setting out some spooky skeletons or stick a broom in the ground and make cardboard legs and stick them, feet up, on either side of the broom to make it look like a witch flew straight into the ground!
