From 10 a.m. on May 4th to 10 a.m. on May 5th, the Redding community will have the opportunity to see what it’s like to be “homeless" with the first-ever Night to the Rescue. Participants put together teams to raise funds leading up to the event and then come together to camp out at Simpson University. Individuals can also register for $25. There will be a candlelight walk to honor those that have lost their lives on the streets, a homeless trek which offers tangible experiences of what a person faces to overcome homelessness, and entertainment including many local artists and even some fun competition. Meals will be provided throughout the event. This unique fundraiser offers a meaningful way to raise money...and raise awareness.
