WHAT IS THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER?
The center offers those in need, free of charge, articles of clothing, small appliances, bedding and other household items as they become available. The DC works on a voucher system and is open 4 days a week. We accept donations of gently used clothing, small appliances and other household items in generally good repair are welcome.
WHERE IS THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER?
The Good News Rescue Mission Distribution Center (DC) is located at 3050 Veda Street, just west of the New Life Building which houses our chapel and dining hall.
A FEW REQUESTS...
We politely ask that all clothing be laundered before being donated as we do not have the facilities to launder donated items. We also ask that all donated items be in good repair or generally good working order. We do not have the ability to repair inoperable items. Receipts for your donation are available at time of delivery.
"SHOPPING" IN THE DC
The Good News Rescue Mission DC operates on a voucher system. If you or someone you know is in need of clothing or other items, a voucher may be obtained at our Resource Center located next to the Mission Guest House at 3100 South Market Street. A completed and signed voucher is all that is needed to "shop" in the "DC", but guests of the DC are asked to be specific regarding needs when requesting a voucher from the Resource Center.
