More on AMAZING GRACE...

Amazing Grace has to be the most widely sung and best known hyms of all time.  The lyrics to the song are actually a poem authored in the early 1800's by a man by the name of John Newton.  Newton was a small town preacher in Olney, England whose past as a slave trader became the inspiration not only for the song, but for a movement that would forever change the world.  The song and its message of Christ's forgivenes and redemption from the darkest sins and deepest despare are the inspiration behind the Mission's current TV, Radio and printed messages.  There are so many parallel's in John Newton's story to the many people we serve, that it is only fitting at this time, in the midst of war, economic crisis and unrelenting societal anxiety that we take pause and pay tribute to God's Amazing Grace.
